When it comes to the 90s to early 00s music and films, Mandy Moore is one of those celebrities who has managed to stay in the spotlight. She has started as a singer during the first few years of her career but transitioned into acting wherein she also nailed a couple of performances such as playing as the main character in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel, “A Walk To Remember,” and now being a part of NBC’s “This Is Us.” Moore is not just known for her singing and acting skills, because she is also known for her inner fashionista and that’s all thanks to couture week.
Fashion Sense
Last year, it was singer Celine Dion who became the breakout star of couture week. This time around it is Mandy Moore’s turn to become the breakout star of the couture week.
According to her stylist, Cristina Ehrlich, being in Paris to shoot for the couture week is truly remarkable, she had been working with Moore for months now and they are definitely ready to conquer the Emmys this year. Moore’s style team, led by Ehrlich, is trying to look into styles that would make her be on the Best Dressed List.
The stylist even teased about how they are currently looking into getting Valentino or Giambattista for her official look for the Emmys, but they need to keep it a secret as to what they have decided on.
Ehrlich is no stranger when it comes to couture since she has managed to work with other celebrities such as Penelope Cruz, whom she styled for the Chancer Couture show, as well as Priyanka Chopra, whom she worked with on the Armani Prive show last year.
The stylist admitted that not every look that we see in the runway can actually be considered as wearable, but couture is where designers are able to express and put their imagination into life and Haute Couture is known to be the most special one when it comes to fashion week.
Back To Music
It was in 1999 when she released her debut single entitled “Candy”, which managed to take a spot in that year’s Billboard Hot 100. With that, she released a couple more albums and singles that also managed to hit the charts such as songs like “I Wanna Be With You”, “Cry”, and “Only Hope”. Some of these songs are so loved up to this date because they have been a part of one of Moore’s films like A Walk To Remember.
Although she has taken a break from the music scene to focus on her acting career, VH1 still managed to include her on the 100 Greatest Women in Music, which was released in 2012.
Her fans over the years have been wanting her to be back in the recording studio and make music again but she seemed to be too busy on her career especially with the success of the award-winning NBC drama “This Is Us,” where she is known to play the role of Rebecca Pearson.
However, her fans recently went crazy over an Instagram post that they saw from the actress’ personal page saying that she is working on some new music. Moore obviously hasn’t done this for years so it is definitely very interesting for her to be able to do this again.
The closest and most recent music project that she has done was actually in 2010 when she became the voice behind the Disney princess Rapunzel in “Tangled,” wherein she sang some of its hit songs “Where Will My Life Begin”, and “See The Light”.
The Instagram post’s caption said that Moore is starting to get back into the music scene and she is doing that by working on some brand new songs. The post was actually a clip of her singing a new song which serves as a demo for the fans.
Every 90s kid who loved her music back in the day will definitely feel nostalgic when they hear her voice again, especially with an all-new song. Moore even admitted on the said post that she definitely miss making music and that she is not scared to get back to it anymore since she wouldn’t allow her insecurities to get the best of her.
