It is rumored that Batwoman is scheduled to visit the Arrowverse in December but it looks like she will become the permanent member of the team as it breaking some TV ground.

Batwoman series is expected to release in 2019 as The CW has started working on it. Caroline Dries and Greg Berlanti are in the production team as well. The movie, written by Dries, is making use of DC characters who are fighting for the social justice.

Kate Kane will act as a hero in the movie as she will wander in Gotham streets fighting against city’s crimes. However, don’t make a mistake to call Kane a hero. Before saving the city from the crimes, she first needs to overcome her own demons.

According to the reports, The CW has started working on the Batwoman movie as the series is expected to release in 2019.

The appearance of Kane in Batwoman has already provided LGBTQ with the glimmer of hope in comics. She has made a comeback after a long break, she was last introduced as a Jewish lesbian back in 2006. And at that time, Kate became the first lesbian superhero who has appeared as a DC character.

After her appearance in Batwoman, she would become the first gay character (either female or male) to ever appear in a TV series. Kate Kane is not the first gay character to join Arrowverse, many other such characters like Alex Danvers, Curtis Holt, and Captain Singh have already worked with Arrowverse.

The central cast is yet to be decided but according to the reports, Kate Kane will lead the series.

The production team of Batwoman includes Warner Bros. and Berlanti Productions. The executive producers of the series include Berlanti Prods and Dries. The other members of the team include Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns (ex-president of DC Entertainment).

According to the reports, John is also working on another DC series “Batgirl ” which is also featuring at Warner Bros. The casting of the movie is supposed to take place in December this year and if everything goes according to the plan, then the same woman will do the central role in the movie.

The media partner of the series includes Warner Bros. and Berlanti Productions.

Dries has no experience of DC Series but according to the rumors, she will be in action as a consultant at any point. The announcement of Batwoman at CW presentation was made by Mark Pedowitz, the president of CW and Stephen Amell, the star of “Arrow”. The duo made the announcement back in May that the movie will feature in the crossover event.

While commenting on this announcement, Pedowitz said that this will be the first time that a movie like Batwoman will appear as a live action. With Batwoman, the city of Gotham will also be added to the Arrowverse, the president continued.

The character of Batwoman was first introduced when Batman showed interest in the character back in 1956. Then in 2008, the character appeared on Cartoon Network and made its final appearance in 2016 on screen.

The CW will use the same strategy for Batwoman as it did for “The Flash”. Before the making of “The Flash”, the main cast of the series was introduced in 2013 in 2 episode “Arrow” arc.

It was then reported that the network planned to launch the 3rd episode of Arrow to serve as the backdoor for “The Flash” but later opted the opposite. There is no doubt that Dries has all that it takes to be a superhero as she has a run of seven seasons in “The Vampire Diaries”. She started her career as a writer on CW.

The character of Batwoman started in 1956 when the batman showed interest for the character in the Comics #233. “The Brave and the Bold” was the first animated Batman series in which the Batwoman character appeared on TV. Back in 2008, the show also aired on Cartoon Network.

“Batwoman” also appeared for a short time in Batman vs. Robin. The character last appeared on Batman: Bad Blood in 2016 in the voice of Yvonne Strahovski. In 2002, the character of Batwoman appeared in The New Batman Adventures series as the movie Batman: Mystery represented the character in the voice of Kyra Sedgwick.
