Less than 2 weeks ago, George Clooney had a scooter accident and now he is looking new on a set in Italy – a miracle? Nowadays, he is in Italy filming “Catch-22”. Clooney is directing as well as acting in the miniseries.
And on Friday, he was seen walking quickly on the set which amazed everyone. The way he was moving, no one can say that he has an accident 2 weeks ago as there was no limp in his movement. The story didn’t end here as he was also seen lifting props on the set.
According to the Associated Press, George Clooney’s scooter was hit by a car in Italy on July 10. After the accident, he was taken to Olbia’s John Paul II hospital for first-aid. The injuries were kept undisclosed as the hospital officials told the Associated Press that the Oscar-winning star was discharged on Tuesday.
According to the local newspaper La Nuova Sardegna, the actor was heading to the set of his upcoming miniseries “Catch-22” when a car hit his bike. The newspaper further reported that the accident took place near the island of Sardinia. According to Clooney’s rep, he has been discharged from the hospital after necessary medical treatment and he is now doing well.
George is in Italy as he is directing the Hulu series “Catch-22”. Clooney was all set to play the role of Col. Cathcart in the series but in April, network announced that Kyle Chandler would replace George for that role so that the Oscar-winner can concentrate on “Catch-22”.
The story of “Catch-22″ revolves around an artful dodger and Christopher Abbot is playing the role in the series. When the movie came in 1970, this role was played by Alan Arkin. Yossarian – the leading role is worried by the thousands of people who he never faced, are trying to kill him.
The real problem for Yossarian is not those enemies but his own army who increased the number of missions a fighter must fly on to complete the service. And if he will make any attempt to avoid any of the missions, he will be violating”Catch-22”.
It is a rule which says that a fighter is insane if he is willing to fly to combat missions. Another interesting character of the movie is Chandler’s Cathcart – a commander who keeps sending Yossarian on the missions. Cathcart is an ambitious, angry, and humorless character who is obsessed with winning parade tournaments. The life of cadets at the training centers is as difficult as living in hell and the reason is their trainer.
With multiple companies bidding, “Catch-22” is launched by Hulu and Clooney is attached to the direction team as well as to the acting team. According to reports, for every six episodes, Clooney will earn $1 million. The writing team of the movie consists of David Michod and Luke Davies.
The news of Clooney’s accident was broke by TMZ as it is reported that star was going on his bike at a speed of 60 mph in Sardinia when a car thrashed his bike and threw him away from the road. The accident took place when a Mercedes-Benz came in front of his bike. According to the eyewitnesses, the driver of the car stopped and called for the assistance as George left sprawled out on the road.

The Oscar-winner was looked a bit banged up when he flew in his private jet couple of days back. But it looks that he has made 100% recovery as he returned to the set of “Catch-22” last Friday.
