13-year-old Luke Thill of Dubuque, Iowa showed the world how convenient a tiny house can be when he documented the construction of his own 89-square foot dwelling in his own backyard. Luke Thill might have a bone to pick with anyone who’s ready to accuse millennials and Gen-Z’ers of being lazy. This enterprising 13-year-old spent his 2017 summer vacation building his very own house.
Luke, who hails from Dubuque, Iowa, took on the project armed with a positive attitude, a little guidance from his dad, and some instructional YouTube videos. At an age when some of his peers haven’t even opened up savings accounts, Thill managed to construct his own temporary dwelling and learned some very practical skills in the process. So how’d he do it?
