Ever since it was announced that American actress Meghan Markle got engaged to Prince Harry, all eyes were on her. From the way she talks, she walks, she moves, every single thing she does is being watched by the entire world.
This is also what happened when Kate Middleton got engaged to Prince William, it just so happens that this time around, Meghan is being compared to Kate as a commoner who joined the royal family.
The moment she said âI doâ, she didnât just earn the title the Duchess of Sussex, she also earned so much responsibilities as a part of the royal family. Turns out that life as royal is much more difficult than everybody else think, because the new Duchess wouldnât have to face the people of England, but the entire world as well.
First International Royal Trip
The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex has made their first ever royal state visit after tying the knot last May. The couple arrived in Dublin last Tuesday for a two-day visit. There was no doubt that all eyes were on the new Duchess, people are now starting to judge how exactly will she carry herself and of course, how she dresses.
Even before she got married to Prince Harry, she has always been praised by how she dresses, since she was an actress after all. She arrived in Dublin along with her husband and she did arrive in style as expected, but people canât help but a minor mishap, and that is the fact that the Duchessâ handbag is new.
This is because of the plastic wrap on that was left on her new Strathberry purse. This is of course very understandable especially now that she is starting to get busy with all the engagements she and her husband have to deal with.
This may be the reason why Duchess Meghan forgot to remove the plastic stud protectors on her purse before she used them. That bag was only a part of her second outfit change of that day because she started the two-day trip wearing a navy Dior dress that was matched with a Stephan Jones hat together with some white stilettos.
This first engagement of the day was for the celebration of the centennial anniversary of the British Royal Air Force. The one where she still has a plastic wrapped on a stud of her tan-colored Strathberry bag was during the second engagement she and Prince Harry went to, it was paired with an emerald-green Givenchy dress and it was when they were set to meet the prime minister of Ireland. On their final engagement on the day, she was seen wearing an elegant black dress by Emilia Wickstead.
Royally Relatable
This is just one of the reasons why people believe that they could actually relate to the royals. They are literally just like everyone else except for the title and all the responsibilities that was given to them for the rest of their lives. Forgetting a minor detail just like leaving a piece of plastic on a small part of the bag, is totally fine, it is definitely just a âsheâs just like usâ moment for the new Duchess.
Another relatable thing is that the bag was actually just a Strathberry purse which cost like less than $700, which is considered as cheap since sheâs now part of the royal family after all. Then again, she still chooses to use one since this is actually her third time that she was seen rocking a Strathberry. The first one was during an appearance at Nottingham last year, and then the second one was just earlier this year when she went to Edinburgh.
The Duchessâ humble aura is definitely being received so well by almost everyone especially when it comes to fashion. She could definitely rock anything even if it is from Target. She is often being compared to her sister in law, Duchess Kate, who is also known to be very fashionable.
There is one thing they have in common though and that is not being afraid to wear an outfit more than once or twice. The best example for Duchess Kate was when she re-wore her pale yellow dress for Prince Harry and Meghanâs wedding. Sources said that Kate simply wouldnât want to upstage the bride since all eyes must focus on the couple and not what she was wearing.
